Josh Rosenthal Reading W/ Performance By Mac Gayden

Join us at Howlin' Books inside Grimey's Too on Tuesday, September 20 at 5PM as Tompkins Square founder Josh Rosenthal reads and signs his book Record Store Of The Mind while original Nashville Cat Mac Gayden performs a few tunes.

Never heard of original "Nashville Cat" Mac Gayden ? Well if you've ever heard Bob Dylan's 'Blonde on Blonde,' or the wah-wah on J.J. Cale's "Crazy Mama", you've heard Mac Gayden. And you've probably also heard him on any number of recordings by Linda Ronstadt, Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Kris Kristofferson and Simon & Garfunkel among many others.

Mac will perform a special set to kick off AmericanaFest at Howlin' Books, so come down and see a true giant of Americana music !

Also, Grammy-nominated producer and Tompkins Square label founder Josh Rosenthal will read from his new book, 'The Record Store of the Mind.' No stranger to Nashville, having released records by Charlie Louvin, William Tyler and Roland White, Rosenthal's book has been praised by Robert Plant, MOJO, No Depression, Oxford American, and T Bone Burnett, to name a few.
